Our education and skills team

Diane Beddoes, Fellow, Stakeholder Engagement, has particular expertise in qualitative research, including deliberative methodologies, futures work and collaborative techniques that bring together members of the public, practitioners and policy and decision-makers to address complex issues. Diane has extensive experience of consultation with a range of audiences, including children and young people, 'hard-to-involve' communities and opinion leaders.

Ewan King, Director, Analytical Studies, is a policy analyst and social researcher with a particular interest in the role of local education providers in promoting community learning. Ewan has run a number of conferences looking at community learning and full service schools.

Hywel Lloyd, Senior Fellow, Organisational Development, works with policy creation, practice and process improvement, and organisational development and change. He is also currenty involved in developing the concept and roles of Budget Holding Lead Professionals (BHLPs).

David Love, Principal, Leadership and Management Development, has extensive experience in the post-16 sector and working with universities on human resources matters, and has assisted LEAs in their transformations to meet the requirements of modern education services. David is also a trained and experienced executive coach.

Ann McNicholl, Senior Fellow, Organisational Development, specialises in policy development and has extensive experience implementing the standards agenda for schools. Ann spent two years as an internal consultant in the Department for Education and Skills and has developed considerable expertise in the use of targets and performance measures to effect change, promoting improvement, and engaging stakeholders and getting their ideas heard.

Nina Mguni, Associate Fellow, has extensive experience in both qualitative and quantitative research methods and a particular interest in applying these methods to the development of economic mission statements. Nina is part of our project team involved in the design and delivery of the New Schools Seminars for the Department of Innovation, Universities and Skills (DIUS). She has also been aiding community engagement and capacity building with local community groups prior to our public consultation events and brokering discussions between potential promoters for schools following the events.
