The preparation of senior managers for leadership positions is one of the most important investments that an organisation can make.

OPM provides leadership, management and personal development through a range of long and short programmes and action-learning networks, which run at our London centre or can be offered in-house at your own venue.

But today's leaders are also accountable to the public and must work in close partnership with other organisations. Our work is therefore also designed to help people develop an astute appreciation of the political and collaborative environment within which they must operate, and to develop the necessary personal skills and confidence.

While short, open seminars and workshops focus on current pressing issues, our extended, modular programmes and networks offer 'development-in-the-round', emphasising the transfer of learning to and from the workplace. All our programmes allow people to attain a balance of 'hard' and 'soft' skills and to use these appropriately and effectively.

Alternatively, powerful personal and managerial learning can come from joining a small, facilitated practice exchange or action-learning group with others who share a specific interest or hold a similar position. Our learning sets, such as the 'Learning Networks for Senior Women Managers' and the 'Integrating Children's Services' network, provide the support and challenge of a group of one's peers.

We also offer executive coaching and strategy formation to top managers, providing confidential opportunities in which they can reflect on their personal and organisational strategies in a critical but constructive dialogue with a senior OPM member who has accredited coaching training. This work is individually focused and is designed according to the specific needs of the person being coached rather than to any pre-determined formula.
