Ewan King, Director at the Office for Public Management, spoke at about building cohesive and resilient communities at the conference Community Cohesion 2010 in London on the 15 July.

In the wake of a new cabinet and criticism of the government’s Prevent programme, the authors argue that rather than dismantle the programme, it needs revision so that it can operate alongside other policies and programmes to promote cohesion.

In 2009 OPM celebrated its 20th anniversary. Some things have not changed over that period. We are still entirely focused on helping to achieve social results and on working with people who share a determination to improve the well-being of the communities and clients they serve. This annual review summarises the work we have done over the past year. It highlights some of our projects, particularly our work and research on efficiency, partnerships and commissioning, our public interest activities, and our engagement work with communities and young people.

OPM's Director for Stakeholder engagement Kai Rudat willl be one of the headline speakers at the annual 8th Annual .Community Consultation Conference; Hard Choices, engagement and localism in London on the 31st of March.
