An ILM level 7 accredited programme for senior leaders and managers leading to a certificate. This programme is for you if you are a practising senior leader or manager, or work in a training and development role,and you already have some experience of coaching or mentoring. It will equip you with the knowledge, skills and confidence to perform effectively as a coach or mentor as part of your normal leadership or management role in either the public or private sector.

In 2009 OPM celebrated its 20th anniversary. Some things have not changed over that period. We are still entirely focused on helping to achieve social results and on working with people who share a determination to improve the well-being of the communities and clients they serve. This annual review summarises the work we have done over the past year. It highlights some of our projects, particularly our work and research on efficiency, partnerships and commissioning, our public interest activities, and our engagement work with communities and young people.

We have been working with the West Midlands Coaching Pool to develop their cadre of coaches. This short paper encouraging coachees’ line managers to be supportive of the coaching process as well as to take an active role in helping coachees transfer their learning effectively to the workplace.
