Sue Goss, OPM principal, shares a bit about herself. Sue leads our government and local community work, connecting our leadership development, organisational development, stakeholder engagement and research to the needs and priorities of clients in local authorities, local strategic partnerships and other organisations.

In the wake of a new cabinet and criticism of the government’s Prevent programme, the authors argue that rather than dismantle the programme, it needs revision so that it can operate alongside other policies and programmes to promote cohesion.

OPM recently completed research for Essex County Council to help them decide what kind of services the council should commission for adults with autism. We did the research with a specialist autism charity, Autism Anglia, to make sure a range of people with autism could take part and the research was fully accessible and inclusive.

The London Borough of Lewisham has prioritised worklessness for several years. Through their Total Place pilot and additional ethnographic research, the borough recently examined the support their unemployed residents receive from local and national welfare-to-work services.
