This study explores the standards of London councils in equalities work and concludes that the key areas for attention are commitment and leadership; organisational capacity, confidence and competence; and how to empower communities and strengthen community involvement.

Budget-holding lead professionals are working with children, young people and families to commission a range of services and items to improve their life chances. This paper explores the interrelationships between three key levels of commissioning and provides some help in understanding and developing multi level commissioning locally.
